Building in Chicago, Illinois
Chicago Place is a mixed-use high-rise on the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue (between Huron and Superior) in Chicago along the Magnificent Mile, anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and formerly housing a vertical mall on its lower floors. As of February 2009, the mall portion has been closed and sits abandoned to this day.[2] This abandoned mall section has been explored throughout its abandonment, including footage dated September of 2020[3], as well as videos throughout 2025 that claim to be with permission, and in some cases ‘breaking in’[4]. Above that is a tower containing condominiums.[5]
