Forbasy (Hungarian: Poprádfalu, Rusyn: Форбасы) is a village and municipality in Stará Ľubovňa District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1311 [citation needed] Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Forbasy was part of Szepes County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1945, it was part of the Slovak Republic.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 537 metres (1,762 ft)[3] and covers an area of 4.44 km2 (1.71 sq mi) (2025).[4]
