Mantius is also a genus of jumping spiders.

In Greek mythology, Mantius (/ˈmæntiəs/; Ancient Greek: Μαντίος, lit.diviner, seer, prophet) was the son of Melampus and Iphianassa and the father of Cleitus, Polypheides and, in some versions, of Oicles.[1][2]
