Mlynica (German: Mühlenbach, Hungarian: Malompatak) is a village and municipality in Poprad District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia. It lies on the foothills of High Tatras.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 681 metres (2,234 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 7.65 km² (2.95 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1268. It belonged to a German language island. The German population was expelled in 1945.

It has a population of 919 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 627 people by ethnicity 595 as Slovak, 31 as Not found out, 4 as Rusyn, 2 as Czech, 2 as Other, 1 as Polish and 1 as German.

In year 2021 was 627 people by religion 417 from Roman Catholic Church, 126 from None, 32 from Not found out, 25 from Evangelical Church, 18 from Greek Catholic Church, 4 from Paganism and natural spirituality, 3 from Eastern Orthodox Church, 1 from Christian Congregations in Slovakia and 1 from Islam.

Main cultural sightseeings are romanesque Roman Catholic and classical evangelical church. Touristic infrastructure dominates village economy and the construction of new recreational facilities is in process.
