Sudesh Berry is an Indian actor and personality[1] known for his works in Hindi cinema and Indian television.[2] He has been active in the entertainment industry since 1988 and is recognized for portraying a wide range of roles across films and television serials.[3][4]
Early life and background
Sudesh Berry was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He belongs to a Punjabi family from Amritsar.[5] Details about his early education and formal training in acting are not widely documented in reliable public sources.[6][7]
Career
Films
Berry began his acting career with the film Khatron Ke Khiladi (1988). He gained recognition with supporting roles in films such as Ghayal (1990), where he played Rajan Berry.[8] Throughtout the 1990s and 2000s, he appeared in several Hindi films including Vansh (1992), Veergati (1995), Army (1996), and war film Border (1997), in which he portrayed Subedar Mathura Das. He continued to work in film such as Refugee (2000), LOC: Kargil (2003), Tango Charlie (2005), 99 (2009) and Sanam Teri Kasam (2016) [9][10]
In addition to Hindi cinema, Berry has also appeared in regional films including Punjabi, Tamil, and Malayalam productions[11][12]
Television
Beery made his television debut in the late 1980s with the epic series Mahabharat,[13][14] in which he played Maharaj Vichitraviya.[15][16][17]
Other work
Apart from acting, Sudesh Berry has also been involved in direction and production in the entertainment industry.[18] He has occasionally appeared in special roles and guest appearances across media platform.[19][20]

Sudesh Berry as son, Suraj Berry, who is also associated with the entertainment industry.[21] He has described his professional inclination as being deeply connected to television, while also maintaining a presence in films.[22][23]
