Re: Jeff Stryker Talk page comment removal — explanation per WP:BLP
Hello Doniago. Thank you for your message regarding the Jeff Stryker Talk page.
I am Charles Casper Peyton (User:Charlescpeyton), the subject of the Jeff Stryker article. I removed a comment from the Talk page and wish to explain my reasoning clearly and in good faith.
The comment I removed stated that I was married to a named private individual. I removed it for the following policy-based reasons:
- The comment was entirely
unsourced — no reliable published source was cited in support of the claim
- It concerned my private marital
status, which I have never publicly confirmed and which I maintain as entirely private
- It named a private individual
in connection with me without their consent
- WP:BLPTALK states that
Talk pages must not contain material that would be inappropriate in the article itself — an unsourced claim about a living person's private marital status would clearly not belong in the article
I acknowledge that Talk page comments should generally be preserved and I understand why my removal triggered your concern. However I believe WP:BLP and WP:BLPTALK support the removal of unsourced contentious material about private personal matters even from Talk pages.
I am committed to editing this article constructively and in full compliance with Wikipedia policies. I have disclosed my conflict of interest at User:Charlescpeyton and am working to improve the article with properly cited sources.
I welcome any guidance you can offer and am happy to discuss further if needed.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

- Fair enough. However, with regards to editing the article itself, I will maintain that while it’s likely okay for you to make minor edits, any substantial changes are best made by you requesting an edit on the Talk page that’s then implemented (or not) by editors who do not share your COI. You may want to try to keep your requests fairly simple and compartmentalized; the easier it is for other editors to figure out what you’d like changed, the faster the changes are likely to get made. In other words, requesting the addition of a single sentence is likely to go faster than requesting the addition of five paragraphs. Which isn’t to say you can’t ultimately make all of the requests you feel are necessary to improve the article; I’m speaking from a standpoint of what may be the most productive approach you can take.
- Assuming you really are who you say you are (no offense intended; editors have few ways to be sure that other editors really are who they claim they are), I suppose it would be cliched for me to claim I was a big fan, heh.
- Sorry if you got a level of pushback here that may have made you feel unwelcome. Unfortunately there’s a significant history of editors with conflicts of interest trying to edit their own articles in their own flagrant self-interest, so we have policies to try to prevent that, and experienced editors can come off as a bit dubious of editors claiming to be celebrities. Re: Jeff Stryker Talk page — COI and trademark clarification
Hello Doniago. Thank you for your guidance regarding WP:COIEDIT.
I have reviewed the policy and wish to respond respectfully and in good faith.
I am Charles Casper Peyton (User:Charlescpeyton), the subject of the Jeff Stryker article and the registered trademark holder of Jeff Stryker™ — a United States trademark active since 1986. Jeff Stryker is not only my professional name but a registered commercial brand that I own, control, and license exclusively. This gives me unique authoritative firsthand knowledge of the brand’s commercial history that no other editor can fully verify from published sources alone.
I understand and accept that Wikipedia does not grant editorial control on the basis of trademark ownership, and I am not claiming such control. Going forward I will use the Talk page to propose significant changes and invite neutral editors to implement them, reserving direct edits only for clear WP:BLP violations requiring immediate action.
Regarding the Talk page comment I removed — it stated I was married to a named private individual. I removed it because it was entirely unsourced, concerned my private marital status which I have never publicly confirmed, named a private individual without consent, and directly violated WP:BLPTALK which prohibits Talk page content that would be inappropriate in the article itself. I believe this removal was correct under Wikipedia policy though I acknowledge I should have left an explanatory note rather than removing silently.
I have disclosed my conflict of interest fully at User:Charlescpeyton and am committed to working constructively within Wikipedia’s guidelines.
I welcome any further guidance you can offer.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

- Hi Charles; I think my response to the earlier thread covered everything I have for advice to offer at this time. The biggest issue is that as an editor with a COI you shouldn’t make substantial edits to the article about you, but rather request them via the Talk page. You seem to understand that at this point, which is awesome, and I (and I’m sure other editors) appreciate you being candid about your conflict of interest.
- Happy to try to help if you have any specific questions/concerns unrelated to specific edits to the article in question. DonIago (talk) 16:56, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
You win. I’m out. Congratulations. 3charles3 (talk) 06:04, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Bronx Zoo Update
The Bronx Zoo now has panther chameleons in the Madagascar! exhibit! And the vasa parrots are lesser, not greater. And the pygmy marmosets at the Congo Gorilla Forest have been removed permanently. ~2026-30456-85 (talk) 14:51, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
- I’m not sure why you’re telling me this? I haven’t edited the article since April. DonIago (talk) 14:55, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
Last Emperor Edit
Hi,
Roger Ebert’s review talks about the ending. There is also an unsourced mention of the scene in the Plot section of the page. I’ll go through and add a few more inline citations there as well. Sorry about not sourcing my earlier edit (and forgetting to sign in). Question, on a film page page, can you reference the film itself with a timestamp maybe? On book pages, you can reference the book, especially when it comes to specific quotes and plot, but I’m less familiar with film. —Zujine|talk 18:38, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
- You shouldn’t need to add references to the plot per WP:FILMPLOT. The film itself should be sufficient sourcing, as long as the plot section isn’t making any claims that aren’t evident from the film itself.
- I don’t see why you couldn’t reference the film with a timestamp using Template:Cite AV media, though I’m not sure what your intentions are/why you feel you’d need to? DonIago (talk) 19:19, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the insight. I was asking about citing the film directly because at first I had trouble finding a source that talked about the ending in order to cite my earlier edit about the setting appearing again at the end. It was just a general inquiry in case I found myself wanting to add something to a film page where I can’t find a third-party source that addresses something shown in the film. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Thanks again. —Zujine|talk 17:13, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
Removal of suicide warning
Requested information on why my warning on the suicide page was removed 9yasono (talk) 15:42, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- Whether or not to include that kind of content has been discussed extensively enough in the past that there’s a notice about it on the Talk page for the article. Thus far the consensus has been not to do so. DonIago (talk) 16:47, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

- I don’t believe I’ve ever edited more than one of those articles, so I can’t self-revert changes I didn’t make. I’d be happy to look at any diffs that concern you if you can provide them and explain why you feel they should be reverted, though. DonIago (talk) 19:41, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- You did Friday the 13th Part 5 JessieBottoms (talk) 19:42, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- Simply replace English-Language crime film category with a more fitting merge category English-language crime horror film because they are still Crime and teen horror films need to add categories to prove it change and add JessieBottoms (talk) 19:45, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

- Only ones that need them. JessieBottoms (talk) 19:54, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- I’m sorry, but you just threw a lot of various things at me. If you’d like to write a single paragraph clearly explaining what changes you’d like me to make and to which article(s), I’ll consider it. But why not ask at the article’s Talk page(s)? DonIago (talk) 19:54, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- People tried to edit them but I heard there’s issues with a User:Ponyo he always reverts articles back incorrectly and gets that editor blocked just because they’re trying to do the right thing. JessieBottoms (talk) 19:57, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

- Because Friday the 13th films are still horror film it’s important to have Categories to relate you can add the American horror films Category to the first four film and replace the English-language crime films Category with the English-language crime horror films Category since it does exist. - Difference between crime film and crime horror film it that crime films focus on the rational execution and investigation of the law or illegal acts, whereas crime horror films prioritize visceral terror, gore, and dread, often featuring unstoppable or supernatural threats that defy the bounds of typical human bounds.
