Review of Republic of Upper Canada
Hi Moxy, I saw the other day that you were going to submit this page for review after all the edits I had done. I was curious to know if that would be through the assessment process of WikiProject Canada or the regular peer review system on Wikipedia? Should I bother with the latter if you might already be taking a look?
Also, sorry if I overdid it with the volume of edits on that page. UAmtoj (talk) 02:50, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Reasons for reversion?
Hello @Moxy
I remember adding an edit, only for it to be reverted by you under the reasonings that it wasn’t the official website. What I do find a problem though is that it does seem official, which I don’t get the removal. Is it possible for you to explain it to me if possible?
Sincerely, GuesanLoyalist

- You will note we simply don’t add the government website to any country article infobox because the articles are not about the government as a whole but a nation. It would be more than appropriate to add it to the government of article infobox – example Canada vs Government of Canada. That said the website for the government would normally be listed in the external links section along with some other official links to the tourist site or whatever see Canada#External links. What are you referring?
Just curious. Jollyrime (talk) 01:09, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- This is something that you have brought up on the talk page and people will discuss with you. Let’s make sure you’re reviewing the sources properly and presenting a case that will actually gain consensus by the community. Just the first sentence will dig this into the ground. Let’s make sure we’re reporting correctly.
According to a March 2026 report by Bright Line Watch, a non-partisan democracy-tracking project which routinely surveys hundreds of American scholars on political regimes, there is a “near-unanimous” consensus that the modern GOP is an authoritarian this is factually incorrect
- …. How so you ask… The report is highlighting democratic backsliding referencing a hybrid state coined by Steven Levitsky and Lucan Way called competitive authoritarianism…..an introductory overview is available here.
- So what is Levitsky saying… Levitsky proposes a middle ground. “This is authoritarianism on the one hand,” he says, “but it’s an authoritarianism that can be reversed—and I think likely will be reversed.” arguing that the United States has entered a phase of “competitive authoritarianism,” Moxy🍁 01:27, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

You are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:19, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/FLQ insurgency
Hi, I just wanted to let you know about the ongoing discussion for the article: FLQ insurgency. If you are interesting in the discussion about the article please visit: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/FLQ insurgency Lazarbeem (talk) 17:22, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Was this a school project ? Moxy🍁 18:53, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- No, I just thought that there needed to be an article for the insurgency itself to go along with the timeline article and the other articles which document individual events such as the October Crisis and Operation McGill français Lazarbeem (talk) 19:11, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- If it’s ok for me to ask, can we talk about some of these events and how they can be remade or renamed into proper, high quality articles? Lazarbeem (talk) 19:38, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

I would like to ask you something
Hi, I wanted to ask if the Political violence in Canada (1918–1938) should be recreated in a proper article as “War Measures and the Repression of Radicalism period” (The title you suggested in the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Political violence in Canada (1918–1938)) or if it should just be a section under Canada in the world wars and interwar period. I would like to hear your input so that I don’t repeat my mistake Lazarbeem (talk) 15:17, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yes an article with WP:Prose for “War Measures and the Repression of Radicalism period” is easily sourced …but as of now Political violence in Canada (1918–1938) is just a random list. Moxy🍁 15:26, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- I based it off of the articles Political violence in Germany (1918–1933) and Political violence in Finland (1918–1932) Lazarbeem (talk) 15:28, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- I see – you will simply find that Canada (its editors) have a more academic approach to things. So not to many lists of list over content. Join us at Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada Moxy🍁 15:31, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

Your mass reversion to Indigenous peoples in Canada
Could you please refrain from mass reversions like that? The reason I changed from the original sentence is that “Indigenous peoples in Canada are the Indigenous peoples of Canada” is not a very helpful or useful sentence. You’ve also reverted a few disam link removals and engvar templates. Good day—RetroCosmos talk 00:32, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- The onus is on you to acquire consensus for the change at this point. Your change has been contested. Thank you. please readMoxy🍁 00:39, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

your edit summary
You made an edit over at Wikipedia:Signatures with the edit comment See also: again
.
Was this a mistake? Your edit doesn’t appear to be related to the “See also” section? What does “again” signify? If not a mistake, could you explain, maybe through a WP:SUMMARYONLY edit on the page.

Maybe not so basic as you think.
This is pretty basic stuff….. this is an edit notice for those editing the page it’s based on administration…… it’s not a template to let our readers know that it’s a contentious topic between editors)
Been here 16 years, and I do not recall running into it ever, in the making, although I’ve seen the result before.
I am not entirely sure that keeping it away from the reader is optimal. Qwirkle (talk) 04:31, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

My last wish
@Moxy Hello, I am The one who keeps the memory of poets alive. and my purpose in creating this account is only to give you this message and I will no longer have any edits on the English Wikipedia because you are blocking this account of mine as a backup; and as for my message: You blocked me and now I am very upset and I have only one request from you and that is to restore my last edit on the Persian literature article so that only a small memory of me remains on the English Wikipedia which I respect very much and when I am not alive in this world, a trace of me remains in the Persian literature article. If this is not acceptable to you, then add something about the book of “Kalagh az khoshhali dar poste khod nemi gonjeshk” poetry yourself. Your eternal friend. - it would make more sense if you saw a picture of the Jack pine that it took you to the article The Jack Pine rather than just some random media page. Was thinking we can have a talk about adding NOMEDIAVIEWERCAROUSEL to Template:Canada topics like templates this way we can easily cover a whole bunch of articles but this might be considered sneaky we would have to have a large talk about it as a project.
