Precious anniversary

Thank you today for Interstate 205 (Oregon–Washington), “about Portland, Oregon’s bypass freeway, which took a quarter-century to build after many, many arguments over where it should go and what it should do. Among its obstacles were rich homeowners, community activists, the city itself, and prisoners at a soon-to-be-closed jail.”! —Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:36, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

ST 2 Line updates

Bruce, do you think it’s OK to update articles like 1 Line (Sound Transit) with March 28 opening of 2 Line now? Instrad of “early 2026”.

Also I don’t have time to fix it but tagged Bellevue City Hall with an error in the lede relating to 2 Line. ☆ Bri (talk) 14:20, 23 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Bri: Personally, I’m holding off on updating things until I can do a deep tune-up of the article for opening day. I did fix the city hall article, as the prose had already been updated. SounderBruce 00:14, 24 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Happy light rail opening!

If you make it out to the opening celebration I hope you have a great time! (t · c) buIdhe 03:27, 28 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Buidhe: I’ll be there! I took a preview ride the other day and it was wonderful. Hoping to get some good quality pictures (new camera body and everything). SounderBruce 05:18, 28 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Can you please fix the templates Template:RapidRide H Line, Template:RapidRide E Line, Template:RapidRide D Line, and Template:RapidRide C Line? The parts to fix is the Link light rail saying 1 Line only and add 2 Line and make sound bound remain the same but add 2 Line to Downtown Redmond ~2026-19393-04 (talk) 18:07, 28 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Mercer Island station

On 10 April 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mercer Island station, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was … that Mercer Island station was built in the middle of Interstate 90? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mercer Island station. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here’s how, Mercer Island station), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Washington Trails Association wiki update

Hi Bruce!

I saw that you reverted all my changes to the Washington Trails Association page as being far too promotional. The old page was quite outdated with old information and not reflective of current information about the organization, so I tried to do a really big update. I linked to a lot of WTA resources because that is where most info about WTA can be found, but understanding that it would be better to link to third party links if they existed, I left up the promotional banner at the top because the majority of links being to WTA pages seemed like it could meet the standard for needing that banner. Can you please be more specific about what is promotional in the content such that you undid all my edits?

Thanks! Epi Outside (talk) 22:18, 13 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, I didn’t see that you had already sent a talk post to my own account. I’ll reply to you there to carry on the conversation there. Epi Outside (talk) 22:26, 13 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
